Is Delta Chi for me?
Delta Chi strives to give each of its members the key to developing the necessary skills for successfully managing life's many challenges. Delta Chi also pushes each member into taking advantage of the many opportunities on campus and in the surrounding community.
While it would be unrealistic to say that Delta Chi is for everyone, we believe that our fraternity has something unique to offer each student. The most important thing to remember when considering joining a fraternity is to make sure you choose the one that is right for you.

What is delta Chi like?
The brothers of Delta Chi have held many places of leadership on campus and have achieved in every aspect of university life. Delta Chi recognizes and emphasizes the four aspects of college life: scholastic achievement, athletic competitiveness, fun and enjoyment, and community involvement. If you are looking for a fraternity that is unique and diverse, then Delta Chi may be for you. Within our circle of active young men is a common bond of individuals that share a true brotherhood. Delta Chi is living, learning, and loving.
What is recruitment?
Recruitment is the term used for the recruitment period of new members for fraternities. Each summer, fall, and spring we have events specifically designed for potential new members. Recruitment events are a relaxed, fun setting for potential members to meet chapter members and to ask whatever questions they might have. Most importantly, recruitment events are the time a potential member should find where he feels comfortable with the fraternity.
What are the benefits of greek life?
Joining a fraternity is a lifelong dedication to the ideals and principles of Greek life. Greek men are successful in life because the values learned during the undergraduate years of affiliation continue to be put in action long after graduation. Members of the Greek Community have a higher retention rate as college students, tend to make larger gifts when donating to carious causes, are more likely to volunteer in their communities, are more likely to be involved with their alma maters after graduation, and, are more likely to be responsible citizens during adulthood.
How does joining a fraternity affect my grades?
A common misconception about fraternities is that joining one will distract you from your studies and the reason you came to college: to get an education. In reality, becoming a member of Delta Chi will help you excel academically. We believe that academics are very important. We promote academics with a detailed scholarship and study program.
The experience gained by our members is passed on from class to class in the form of study groups, teacher evaluations, test prep, and course selection aids. More so, the connections and references you will have will give you a secure future in whatever field you pursue. We are proud to have one of the highest GPA's among all fraternities as well as consistently being above the all-male GPA average.

What about my social life?
Delta Chi is a social fraternity. Joining a fraternity is a great way to meet new people and network. We maintain an active social calendar including sorority socials, road trips, movie and game nights, band parties, retreats, formal events, and many other activities. These events provide opportunities to meet and get to know other students at UWA and around the nation.
What about campus involvement?
Our members are actively involved in many campus and community organizations. Organizations such as; Student Government Association, Inter-fraternity Council, Student Orientation Leaders and Ambassadors, Campus Activities Board, Housing, Band, and many other professional organizations and academic honor societies provide valuable leadership experience. We encourage all of our members to pursue positions in campus leadership.
What about community involvement?
Delta Chi believes that service is an integral part of the fraternity experience and helps develop men of high character. We maintain many philanthropic activities that benefit the campus and community. We partner with the V Foundation for Cancer research and support other charities through blood drives, recycling programs, Project Uplift, Relay for Life, Children's Miracle Network, and other special project.

What is an associate member?
An Associate Member is a gentleman who is participating in the Delta Chi Associate Member Program.
Our Associate Member program is detailed and hazing-free. The "AM" Program, as it is sometime called, has been designed to promote the friendship, loyalty, and dedication that exists in our fraternity. We focus on the importance of academics, responsibility, and building lifelong friendships through brotherhood.
Time as an associate member is specifically designed to familiarize you with the benefits and responsibilities of membership. Being a Delta Chi goes far beyond the individual. Membership education not only builds on character, but also helps prepare you, an associate member, to become a part of the chapter.

What if my parents have questions?
Parents play an important part in the Fraternity experience. If you are a parent, thank you for taking the time to learn more about Delta Chi. We want you to be as excited and comfortable with your son's interest in the Fraternity as he is.
Delta Chi understand that the expectations of today's college men are growing. As a Fraternity we wish to enable your son to meet and exceed these expectations and be a successful member after graduation. The fraternity provides support to our chapters and individual members through leadership programs, written and online programming, and regular Leadership Consultant visits. Alumni are engaged to supervise the operation of the chapters, and minimum standards for all Delta Chi chapters are in place to ensure all brothers are having a quality fraternity experience.
